AI Comparisons
Compare the fit.
Test the workflow.
There is no universal best AI tool. Use the same permitted task and quality criteria to compare options for your team.
How can the six tools be compared?
| Tool | Training focus to explore | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| ChatGPT | General writing, analysis and varied business tasks | Output accuracy, permitted files and available account features |
| Google Gemini | Research and work in the Google ecosystem | Account capabilities, permissions and source quality |
| Claude | Document-intensive writing and technical collaboration | Document access, source fidelity and technical review |
| Perplexity | Source-led research and discovery | Whether citations actually support the answer |
| Grok | Idea exploration and research evaluation | Current-source verification and tool approval |
| Microsoft Copilot | Workflows in the Microsoft ecosystem | Specific product, licensing, configuration and access |
These are suggested evaluation tasks, not exclusive capabilities or benchmark results. See tool pages and official product references
Use the same scorecard
- Accuracy against your source material
- Relevance and usability of the output
- Human review and correction effort
- Permissions, data handling and tool approval
- Licensing, workflow integration and total operating cost
Compare evidence, not impressions
How do you run a fair tool comparison?
Choose one representative task and the same permitted source material for every tool. Write down the required output before testing. Record the product, plan, enabled features and date because available capabilities can differ across accounts and change over time.
Compare the answers against a rubric rather than judging fluency alone. Count unsupported claims, material omissions, source-checking effort and the corrections needed before the result can be used. Include a missing-information example to see whether the assistant expresses uncertainty appropriately.

Does one good test prove a tool is the best choice?
No. A single task can reveal something useful, but it cannot establish performance across all departments or conditions. Repeat the test with realistic variations and include the organization’s access, cost, data-handling and support requirements before making a wider decision.
