Perplexity Training for Business Teams

Source-led research, discovery and business intelligence.

In brief

What does Perplexity training cover?

NMR Infotech’s Perplexity training helps teams practise source-led research, citation checks and evidence comparison. Participants work with permitted examples, check material claims against their sources and define a review step before using the output. Exercises are adapted to the team’s experience and available account features.

Before the session
Confirm approved Perplexity access and the features required for the agreed exercises.
Learning output
A reviewed task example and a repeatable prompting and checking method.

Understand the tool

What is Perplexity?

Perplexity is an AI-powered research and answer tool that can present responses with source references. Teams still need to inspect the underlying evidence.

Choose the audience

Who should use this training?

Research, strategy, marketing and business-development teams that need a disciplined evidence workflow.

NMR Infotech provides independent training. Product names belong to their respective owners; no vendor certification or partnership is implied.

Your learning path

What does the curriculum include?

  1. Framing a researchable business question
  2. Finding primary sources and checking publication dates
  3. Comparing citations, claims and contradictory evidence
  4. Building a traceable research brief

Hands-on exercises

Which business use cases will we practice?

Exercise 01

Investigate a fictional market-entry question

Use approved or synthetic material. Compare the output with its sources and record what required correction.

Exercise 02

Open citations and check whether they support each claim

Use approved or synthetic material. Compare the output with its sources and record what required correction.

Exercise 03

Create a research memo separating evidence from inference

Use approved or synthetic material. Compare the output with its sources and record what required correction.

Intended learning outcomes

What should participants be able to do?

  • Write clearer task instructions with relevant context and constraints
  • Apply Perplexity to the agreed role-specific exercises
  • Identify unsupported statements, missing context and uncertain outputs
  • Describe when to use approved sources, human review or an alternative workflow

Relevant contexts

Can the training fit our industry?

Exercises can be adapted to your sector and data-handling requirements.

Perplexity training FAQs

Are citations enough to establish accuracy?

No. A citation can be incomplete, outdated or unrelated to a claim. Training includes opening sources, checking dates and verifying the interpretation.

Can the program be customized?

Yes. Audience, tasks, examples, duration and delivery can be agreed around your organization’s needs.

Are tool subscriptions included?

Tool subscriptions are not assumed to be included. Required accounts, features and access are confirmed while planning the program.

Can international teams join online?

Yes. Online sessions can be planned for distributed teams across time zones.

Make the course relevant

How is the Perplexity program adapted to your team?

The starting point is a task your team needs to complete, not a tour of every feature. Before the program, agree the participant roles, approved tool access and examples that can be used safely. A writing team, an analyst and an engineering team may need different exercises even when they use the same assistant.

A focused session can introduce one workflow. A broader program can include repeated practice, peer review and a capstone task using new inputs. The final duration and materials are agreed after scoping; the curriculum on this page is a starting framework.

  • Define what a correct and useful output looks like before writing a prompt.
  • Use synthetic, public or explicitly approved material in exercises.
  • Record the source, important assumptions and the human review step.
  • Repeat the task on a different example to test whether the method transfers.

From practice to repeatable work

How can you evaluate learning after the session?

Ask participants to complete a fresh version of the agreed task and explain their review decisions. Check whether they can find missing information, distinguish source facts from generated suggestions and revise a weak result. A polished first draft is useful only when the team understands what still needs checking.

Potential learning outputs include a reviewed prompt, a task-specific quality checklist and a documented workflow. These are practical learning artifacts, not a vendor certification or a guarantee of business outcomes.
